Just For The Record #38: Statik Selektah

Statik Selektah by Daniel Shaked DSC_7171

TM: You said that the “Lucky 7” album will be your last. Why?
Because I am sick of doing compilation albums – put this person with that person, I gotta chase someone for that vers. I am now way beyond that. I rather do one Eminem song than two collabo albums.

You got Your Old Droog, Ab-Soul, Mick Jenkins, Talib Kweli and more on your album. Is there someone you wished to have had on it but didn’t happen?
I got a crazy story. Everyone expects Black Thought on it. He did a whole song for the album. I have it. But we both agreed that we don’t put it on the album because the way we recorded it, wasn’t done in time. So now it’s at the stash. So I got an ill Black Thought record at the stash. I wish he would be on the album.
