Letztes Jahr veröffentlichten Anthony Mills & Clefco ihr gemeinsames, überzeugendes Album „Supplicate“. Nun legen die beiden mit der EP „Soliloquy“ nach. Da stilistisch andere Wege als zuletzt eingeschlagen werden, treten Anthony Mills & Clefco darauf als White Glock in Erscheinung. Der Bandname wurde als „Street-Hop“-Alias gewählt, das ganze Projekt dient als Ode an Sean Price, der im August 2015 viel zu früh von uns ging. Trotz der stilistischen Neuausrichtung bleibt des Qualitätslevel gewohnt hoch. Anthony Mills kann auf „Soliloquy“ mit seinen Rapstrophen und Gesangparts ebenso überzeugen wie Clefco, der erneut eine Kostprobe seiner herausragenden Fähigkeiten abliefert und mit facettenreichen, atmosphärischen Beats beeindruckt, die zwischen bedrohlich-düsterer Grundstimmung („Price Is Rise“) und lockerem Soul („Go Get Inc“) pendeln. Die knapp zehn Minuten – so die Spielzeit der EP – sollte man sich auf jeden Fall nehmen. R.I.P. Sean Price.
